Artist's Garden Blanket Shawl

$7.50

The Artist’s Garden (blanket shawl) is designed to be worked as a scrappy / stash-buster project. Inspired by the layering and mixture of colors within a garden, this shawl can be like your very own painting of a garden in bloom!

The idea behind this design is to use yarn from your stash - whether it be scraps of yarns that you love (leftover from previous projects) mini skeins or a variety of single skeins in your yarn collection.

This shawl is very generously sized, with a finished wingspan of approx 84” / 210 cm. Perfect to snuggle up in for the chilly Autumn & Winter days ahead!

Size
Approx. 68” / 170 cm length from cast on to bind off x 50” / 125 cm width along bind-off edge.
* Wingspan measures approx. 84” / 210 cm, measured post blocking.

Pattern Construction
This is a pattern for a triangular shaped shawl which begins with a handful of stitches cast on and will increase along one side to the end, eventually binding off along the top edge.

This scrappy stash-buster shawl is designed to be worked in a variety of yarns, either fingering weight held double throughout or with DK weight (held single). You can transition through as many or few colors as you’d like but will always be working with at least 2 different colorways.

For this design, each side is worked twice before turning to the other side.

This is an advanced beginner or intermediate level pattern.
